How it plays

Der Nagelbalken is Plinko for one to four, played with chips that carry no cash value: before each of eight drops, every colour secretly picks a stake and sets the funnel above one of nine columns. Then every ball falls at once through a field of eight rows of brass pins, bouncing randomly off each one, into one of nine slots: the outer slots pay 30.0x, then 10.0x and 3.0x, and the centre pays 0.7x and 0.3x. The funnel only shifts the odds on each bounce, never the outcome itself. After eight drops, whoever has the most chips in front of them wins.

The story

The Nailboard, comic panel 1 of 3
Set the funnel to your lucky spot and choose your stake.
The Nailboard, comic panel 2 of 3
The steel ball falls through the pin maze – every bounce steers fate.
The Nailboard, comic panel 3 of 3
Hit the edges and rake in up to 30 times your stake.

Goal and rules

Goal The fattest stack

Eight throws long: pick a drop spot and stake, then throw. Whoever has the most net worth at the end wins.

From the middle, the ball lands in the middle most often — and that slot pays the least.

  1. Choosing a drop spot Nine spots above the pyramid — each shifts the odds, not the outcome.
  2. Eight rows of pins At every pin the ball bounces randomly left or right, just like a real Galton board.
  3. Nine slots Outside 30.0x, then 10.0x and 3.0x, in the middle 0.7x and 0.3x. The ball lands at the edge less often — but it pays more.

Controls

Tap the rail above the pins or slide the golden funnel to the column you want the ball to drop into, set your stake, and press "Throw ball". With a keyboard, the funnel moves with the arrow keys.

In the arena, the goal and the rules are always behind the question mark, even mid-round — and between rounds, so is the story.
